1. First of download and install the app Hangout in your android device.
2. Your old messages will get automatically imported to this aap when you install it.
3. Now open any of spam messages that you wish to block mostly like the messages that contain promotional links etc.
4. In opened messages click on three doted buttons at the right top corner.
5. Now select people & options there.
6. Click on block option there and again click on block on the pop up that appears.
7. Thats it you are done the message form that server or number will get permanently block on your device and in future you will never receive any spam messages from that carrier.

How To Block Spam Messages in iPhone

1. Open the message in your iphone and tap on contact there.
2. Now you will see i button there just tap on it.
3. There you will see contact card for spammer.
4. Scroll down and click on Block this number.
5. Thats it you are done the message form that server or number will get permanently block on your device and in future you will never receive any spam messages from that carrier.
